ABOUT DR MONIKA

Completed her Masters degree in Homeopathy in Durban, South Africa and graduated in 1994. This involved understanding both allopathic and homeopathic medicines and treatments and included cadaver discection and diagnostics.

She then completed her internship with Dr Heidi Retter in Cape Town and added a specialisation in Iridology and sound practise management and medicine manufacture skills. Consultations with her large number of European and local patients are conducted in English, German or Afrikaans.

Dr Monika runs a full service practice and treats patients of all ages and all medical conditions. She has a passion for all things related to children and childbirth. Her work with numerous midwives ensures that their clients have a smooth and successful pregnancy and labour. To quote Dr Monika, “as a mother of three I also have experience dealing with most childhood complaints and ailments.”

Dr Monika married in 1995 and her first daughter was born in 1997, at which time she decided to start her own practice in Pinelands, Cape Town which was very successful. A second daughter arrived in 1999, and in 2003 Dr Monika and her family relocated to Johannesburg where she opened her current practise in Bryanston. A beautiful son joined the family in 2006.

To recharge Monika likes nothing better than a visit to Kruger National Park to relax under African skies and appreciate natures many wonders.
